Camp Casey is an outdoor education experience for fifth grade
students in the Tahoma School District. While at Camp Casey
the students learn about Coupeville, the second oldest city in
Washington. They discover the fort at Camp Casey, the
Admiralty Head lighthouse and the history surrounding Whidbey
Island. A hike through the surrounding woods is where
they identify trees and plants. With the ocean close by the
students also have the opportunity to learn about the tides. All
this and they get to buy candy at Coupeville, fire off rockets,
sing camp songs, fly kites. What a great time!
