Home of the Wildcats

Welcome to the Lake Wilderness ELL SWIFT site. I am honored to teach and support a diverse group of students.  I look forward to instilling skills that prepare your child for the future.

This is my first year working with the ELL team at Lake Wilderness.  Prior to taking the ELL position, I worked as certificated classroom teacher for the White River School District teaching 3rd and 4th grade. I also worked for the Clover Park School District as a reading intervention specialist.

Aileen O'Leary  and Edwin Torres are a valuable resource to our children. Aileen continues to be a valuable team member to Lake Wilderness Elementary.  She is fluent in Tagalog and holds a BS Degree in International Business with a Minor in International Studies. Outside of work, she travels, is a Girl Scout Volunteer Learning Facilitator and a Girl Scout Troop Leader.

Edwin is a valued alumni of LWES and  a current wrestling coach at Tahoma Senior High School. He is currently studying to becoming a teacher. He is also a Extended Enrichment Program (EEP) assistant at LWES and a District Interpreter.

Please feel free to contact our department with any questions, or concerns.

We all smile in the same language!
