The Support Center

This year, Shadow Lake Tigers are focusing on the BIG 3:  SHOWING RESPECT, MAKING GOOD DECISIONS and SOLVING PROBLEMS.

The Support Center is designed to help students reach personal and school goals.  Student participation and reflection are key to the problem solving process.

The focus will be what RESPECT, GOOD DECISIONS and SOLVIG PROBLEMS look like and sound like.  When appropriate, a BIG 3 worksheet will be sent home for parents to reinforce the learning that took place.

Social skill classes are typically thirty minutes per week.  SOCIAL THINKING continues to be a popular curriculum which helps students identify how to control their impulsivity.

The Support Center hopes to build students' self esteem, allowing them to enjoy additonal school success.
