Move Up Day Letter 2016

Hello First Grade Families,

I am very excited for our first grade year to start! It was great to see all of the new faces today. I introduced myself to the students, but thought that I would send a little information home to you as well.

I am finishing up my 17th year of teaching…not sure how that has happened. I have taught 1st-5th grade and it has been fantastic being back in first grade. It has a special and unique magic all its own. I have two daughters that have been lucky enough to spend their school days at Shadow Lake. Riah is finishing up 5th grade and Willa will be moving to 3rd. My husband, Jeff, teaches 11th and 12th grade English at Tahoma High School. We have a busy summer of swimming, kayaking, camping, and playing outside scheduled.

I have attached my first grade supply list. (I tried to whittle it down a bit this year.) Please get the supplies that you are able to get and bring them into the classroom on Tuesday, August 30th from 12:00-1:00pm. I hope that you have a wonderful summer. Read lots of books and play in the sun!

Please contact me if you have any questions. See you in August!
