We
are excited to welcome you to Global Academy! What’s
“Global” about it? Through integrating Social Studies,
Science, and Language Arts, our aim is to educate our school and
local community about the need for sustainable practices that will
affect positive change in environmental, economic, and social
systems. To do this, we will need to learn global communication
skills, to use global technologies, and to engage in global (left
and right brain) thinking skills. Our hope is that through
various levels of collaboration and by individually forming the
connections between these three courses to the overall
“umbrella” of sustainability, you will be prepared to
not only learn skills related to these courses, but you’ll be
prepared to succeed in an emerging 21st century
workforce while seeking to form responsible decision making in your
local and global community.
