Welcome to the Tahoma Senior High Custodial Department.  Our goal is to do our very best to keep the school environment clean and functioning.  With over 1800 students plus staff, it can be a daunting challenge.
Our crew works anywhere between 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. during the school year.  During breaks and summer, we all move to an early shift where we can work together to accomplish more.  (By clicking on the events tab, you can see what days we will be off for the holidays.) We currently have nine custodians working in the building.  Two of these work four hours each and two work one day each on the weekend.  We work year round, doing much of our "heavy" cleaning in the summer.  During a normal school year, we will clean the building, clean up after games and activities, take care of emergencies, maintain and repair the building inside and out and setup for functions.
Since the building is a public facility, we mingle with more than just students and staff.  Often we have outside groups both public and private that enter our doors.  We have other schools that may use the facilities.  We have athletes from other schools that visit and compete.  Overall, the building is a beehive of activity.  It is rare to see the halls empty.
We'd love to meet you, so the next time you're here, say "Hello!"  We look forward to getting to know those who grace our building with their presence.
