WHAT CAN I DO TO IMPROVE MY ASL GRADE ?

Ask yourself the following questions and respond honestly:

  1. Am I attending  class regularly,
  2. Do I turn my assignments in on time,
  3. Do I correct mistakes on my presentations when peer evaluated,
  4. Do I ask others to review my work for simple errors,
  5. Do I make flashcards or other mnemonic devices  for vocabulary practice,
  6. Am I attentive in class and ask clarifying questions to aid my comprehension,
  7. Do I participate appropriately in class,
  8. Do I try to make connections and find patterns that are easy for me to remember,
  9. Do seek support from the teacher before or after school or during tutorial,
  10. Do I put effort into my video presentations (more than the night before),
  11. Do I take notes in class,
  12. Do I review the information on my class notes when outside of class,
  13. Are my class materials and hand-outs organized in my ASL notebook,
  14. Do I use my in class time wisely to review and communicate with a peer partner,
  15. Do I access any of the web video resources to help me review information presented in class?

Responding accurately to the above suggestions should be an honest evaluation of your effort in ASL.  Following the inquiries still doesn’t improve your grade schedule a time to meet with me to discuss other suggestions to create a successful environment for you.
