6th Grade
Choir
|
6th grade students will have an opportunity to explore
choir. Students will be given a chance to get to
know their singing voices. Exploratory choir is an
introduction to ensemble music that utilizes the voice as the
student's primary instrument. Students will also learn
music notation.
7th grade choir is perfomance based. Students will
demonstrate music literacy, good vocal technique and expressive
singing. Students will be singing high quality repertoire
representative of a variety of cultures and historical
periods. Students' quarterly participation in performances
will also include participation in the Distric Choir Festival and a
League Choir Contest.
