Fitness Testing


Purpose: Improve your personal fitness in 4 easy steps!

1. Participate in fitness testing

2. Compare your scores with the healthy standard (these are in the documents section)

3. Determine your strengths and areas you need to work on

4. Set a goal to improve!

In PE, students participate in fitness testing twice a year in order to find out their current fitness level in the following 3 areas:

1. Cardiorespiratory Endurance---Pacer Test

2. Muscular Strength and Endurance---Push Up Test

3. Flexibility---Sit and Reach Test

After students record their fitness scores, they compare them to the fitnessgram healthy standards which is a national program based on age and gender. These fitness scores offer each student the necessary information to determine their own strengths and areas of improvement, so they can set appropriate and realistic goals to improve their fitness.
