Hello fourth-grade cubs and families!

I am thrilled to be your child’s fourth-grade teacher at the fantastic Tahoma Elementary School for the 2019-2020 school year!

By way of introduction, the upcoming school year will be my eleventh with the Tahoma School District. I had the privilege of working with students at both TES and Rock Creek Elementary Schools in math intervention before completing a Masters in Teaching degree and student teaching in both 4th grade and special education this past school year.

I live in Maple Valley with my husband, Jarrett.  Our two kids spent all of their school years in the Tahoma School District, with my youngest graduating in June 2019.  We have enjoyed youth and high school sports but will be finding new ways to spend our Saturdays this fall, such as watching college football and taking our dog, Kona, to the dog park!  I also like to read, walk or ride my bike on Maple Valley's great trails, visit new places near and far, take pictures in those new places, and spend time with friends and family.

We have some important learning in store for us in fourth grade!  From reading non-fiction texts, to writing opinion essays, to multiplying with double digits, we’ll grow our brains and stretch our thinking in new ways while also contributing each of our strengths and talents to the classroom and school community.  I look forward to teaming with students and families to make this school year one of progress, growth, and exploration.
Together we'll make fourth grade a great year!

Feel free to contact me with questions at any time.

Best wishes,

Angie Houser
